Libellulidae [familie]
Leucorrhinia [genus] (5/5)
rubicunda [soort]

Leucorrhinia rubicunda is fairly common in The Netherlands. Its main occurrence, like L. dubia, is in acidic, oligotrophic bog and heath habitats on the Pleistocene soils. Small populations also inhabit the coastal dunes and fenlands. All habitats have well-developed aquatic and riparian vegetation, often with Sphagnum. Although L. rubicunda appears to have declined somewhat, it is not included in the Red list.
