Invasiviteit (toelichting) |
The amount of findings doubled since 1990 (from 514 to 1071 now); both parents of this fertile hybrid, P. alba and P. tremula, originate from Europe and Asia, but the ‘species’ has been cultivated for centuries. |

Verspreiding in Nederland (toelichting) |
This fertile hybrid occurs evereywhere where the two parent species occur. It flourished in the coastal dune area at first. It spreads easily and backcrosses with the parents occur frequently. The leap inwards, away from the coast is of recent date and probably also the result of planting P. alba nearby populations of the more common Populus tremula. |
