  • Verspreiding in Nederland (toelichting) It took some time – since 1940 - before the species was properly recognized, being part of the unpopular Epilobium-genus. Before 1950 only 24 localities were known, nowadays nearly 1500 5x5 kilometre squares. The species shows no special preference for either cultivated or disturbed ‘urban’ areas; it can easily be found along railways and roads, on waste grounds and walls, on dried-up riverbanks etc.
