Invasiviteit (toelichting) |
Aphelochaeta marioni may be a native species in the Netherlands. Wolff (2005) however mentions that if it is native, ‘it is remarkable that Horst, a well-known Dutch specialist on polychaete taxonomy in the early 20th century, did not record this common species’ . If it is indeed a non native species is has been very invasive as it is considered nowerdaysto be a very common species. One should consider however that the species Tharyx killariensis closely resembles A. marioni morphologically. Therefore misidentification have occured and the exact distribution of both species is still unclear. |
