Verspreiding in Nederland (toelichting) |
The first record in the Netherlands is from 1912-1913 (harbour of Den Helder). Here the species was present till the 1930s. In 1968 and 1969 the species was recorded frome Lake Veere, near the Eastern Scheldt. The next record was June 12th 1981 at the Dutch Wadden island of Texel, followed by records at the island Vlieland and many records from the province of Zeeland (in brackish waters as well as high in the sublittoral zone) see a.o.: Van Urk 1956, Dekker 1982, 1987, Faasse 1991, 1996, 1997). Nowadays the species occurs at many localities in the province of Zeeland, in the Eastern and Western Scheldt. It is also present in the Dutch Wadden Sea area (records of Marsdiep and Eemshaven). |

Ecologische impact (toelichting) |
D. lineata lives attached to mussels and oysters. These bivalves might be limited by this and show a lower growth rate, in the wild as well as in aquacultures. A negative influence on indigenous anemones is also suggested, as well as competition with other species. In the Netherlands however (as well as in Belgium), there is as yet no evidence for any of these claims (Vlizz 2011). |

Economische impact (toelichting) |
In the Netherlands until now there is no evidence of any economical impact. |
