Indeling

Corduliidae [familie]
Oxygastra [genus] (1/1)
curtisii [soort]

Oxygastra curtisii was present near Berlicum in province of Noord-Brabant from 1925 until at least 1928. It was found on small rivers partly bordered by forest, which agrees well with the known habitat of the species. This site, which is now destroyed, was the northernmost location for this species ever recorded. In 1976 and 1982 a few specimens were caught near Eindhoven. Possibly a population was present at the time. The nearest known population is found along the Ourthe in Belgium.
