The Greenhouse Camel-cricket is a cosmopolitan species, which probably originates from China. In the Netherlands the species has occasionally been found in greenhouses, but also in apartments, throughout the country. In 1989 a large colony was reported to live in the cellars of new houses in Hoogeveen, where the insects fed at night on the indoor plants. Its detailed distribution is still unknown.
