In the late 19th century the species was imported in the Netherlands a couple time by tourists. There are only a small number of published records: Amsterdam (1910), Kortgene (1983) and Mierlo (1984). The species is well known under the name ""Jumping Bean Moth"". Disturbed larvae move their bodies quickly when they are in the seeds of Sebastiania sp. causing the seeds to move. |
