Invasiviteit (toelichting) From this species is known that it can proliferate quickly, that is has a large adaptation capacity, which means that it potentially can persist outside its native range. It is seen as a potential invasive plant species in the mid-Atlantic part of the USA. This bamboo species is relatively short. However, the species can spread vegetatievely and form dense carpets, and might in this way outcompete the native flora.
